Maryland Guthas is a lifelong resident of Bartow County, a graduate of Cass High School, and was the former Executive Director of Bartow Family Resources. She was one of the first volunteers at the center in 1989 when it first opened and assisted with fundraisers in the 90’s.
Maryland serves on several boards including Bartow County DFCS, the Georgia Region 3 DFCS Advisory Board, The Message For You, and Bartow Barahona, a pregnancy help organization in the Dominican Republic. She’s the mother of three, grandmother of three, and enjoys riding bicycles with Greg, her husband of forty-one years.
Sean Thompson is a lifelong residence of Bartow County. He is a graduate of Cass High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Kennesaw University. He is currently the Corporate Credit and Loan Operations Trainer for Renasant Bank where he has been employed for the last ten years. His wife Kim and their two children, Sean and Ansley, are members of Raccoon Creek Baptist Church where he has taught Sunday School for the last five years.
JOE FRANK HARRIS, JR.
Joe Frank Harris, Jr. is a long time Bartow County, Georgia resident. He graduated from Cartersville High School in 1982. Joe received his undergraduate degree in Finance and his law degree both from the University of Georgia. Joe’s law and business experience include: practicing law both in Atlanta and Cartersville; leading a Regional Team for Aflac; and leading the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce. Joe’s community involvements have and currently include: Leadership Bartow; Leadership Georgia; The Salvation Army; and Shorter University. Joe and his wife, Brooke, are members of Cross Point City Church. Brooke teaches at North Cobb Christian School, and they have a daughter, who graduated from the University of Georgia and is currently a ministry intern at the UGA Wesley Foundation. Their son is currently attending UGA.
